Change in Low-E
As of January 4th 2010, we will be changing our low-e type from Solarban 60 to PPG Solarban 70. This will allow us to meet the Federal Tax credit requirement without foam filling; foam filling will still be an option and will give you even greater numbers on our products. However you will no longer need it for the “Green Window Option” (low-e & argon).
This is a dramatic change in low-e; Solarban 70 is a slightly darker shade or tint. The result is a highly advanced glass package that will do the following:
1) Save the homeowner 25% in summer cooling costs.
2) Block ¾ of the sun’s heat energy while transmitting more natural light.
3) Increases fade protection.
4) Will be warmer in the winter, saving energy.
5) Meet the Federal Tax credit with Low-e and argon.
We at PVC Industries Inc. are doing this at no additional cost do you! We will continue to stock Solarban 60 for any repairs or to match older window units that are currently out there. When ordering repairs just give us the numbers off the windows as always and when ordering windows you must specify Solarban 60 low-e on your order! Solarban 70 will be our stock low-e.
